Re-purposing Boxes

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season.  I know mine has been super busy.  I feel like I am never going to get it all done.  I wanted to share an easy craft project with everyone to help clear up some clutter.  I came across this project in one of my magazines I get, but for the life of me can't remember which one.  It is a nice to way to help organize things and recycle at the same time!!

Here's how I turned this:

Into this:
Using these:

I had some home-school items that needed to be organized and found that an old cereal box and a waffle box worked really well.  If you have never done or seen this before, I will give a quick tutorial.

1.Materials needed.

 2. Cut the flaps off the end of the box.

 3. Draw lines with the ruler for the wedge shape that will be at the top.

4. Cut on the lines you just drew and you should get a shape similar to a magazine holder.

 5. Cover your boxes so they look pretty.  I used some brown paper bags I had that didn't have a purpose.  Plus it added some strength to the box.

Now these aren't going to hold real heavy things, but they are good for organizing papers or thin magazines. I found they were really good with home-school items.  I hope this gives you some organizing and crafting ideas!!

Happy Crafting!!

Amanda
